The tale concerns
three bright little boys from New England, spending their first Christmas
in their new home in Los Angeles, California. Although the spirit of
Christmas is everywhere evident, a problem arises as they get ready for bed . . .
The youngest boy climbed
into bed,
Thoughtfully rubbed
his nose,
And pulled on his ears,
and hugged his knees
And artfully wriggled
his toes. |
Then he asked, in a voice
that quavered,
Filled with doubt and
woe,
“How will Santa land
his sleigh
On a roof that has no
snow?” |
| This charming holiday
rhyme is almost surely destined to become an illustrated book, but I would
not be at all surprised if, one day, it became an animated Christmas television
special, as well!
