To the Bard, Travis Pike                                                           7/21/99

Thanks for a most fascinating and fun interview of July 12, 1999,
regarding the “Grumpuss.”  Luke Gruber, the host of Carolina In The
Morning, talked about it for days after.  It was also fun to use the clips
from the audio productions during the show.  It made for a perfect
lead-in to the interview.  While pulling the clips from the audio tape I
lost track of time and found myself drifting into my imagination as
you regaled me with the story of “Grumpuss.”

After listening to the audio program, twice, in my car this past
weekend, I found that the “Grumpuss” was reminiscent of Dr. Suess,
J.R.R. Tolken and even a little Aesop, (Travis, you are in grand
company).  Overall it was original and witty.  Truly a work of Travis E.
Pike.  A most fascinating journey into the “theater of the mind.”

In regards to our phone conversation about broadcasting the
entire production on our radio station WTKF FM 107.3 and WSTK
AM 910, it looks like we will be able to do that soon.  I will contact you
and discuss the details in the very near future.  Frank from WSTK will
be contacting you as well about the live performance when he gets
all the details hammered out.

Sincerely

Shane Willis
