PART I:  THE COURTSHIP OF PRINCESS GWEN

KING GALOWYN'S CREED
We first hear King Galowyn's creed when, as part of the ghostly hunt, he invites the hunting party back to his castle to celebrate the slaying of the last dragon in all the realm.
KING GALOWYN
"Now, let us off to Galwalk! There, by my word, no warrior shall lack for comfort, nor shall his platter be emptied, nor shall he see the bottom of his goblet!”
We next hear Galowyn's creed, when he is trying to quiet the crowd at the assembly of champions come to contest for Princess Gwen's hand -- just before Merlin's startling prophecy.
KING GALOWYN
“Drink!  Eat!  This is a merry occasion!  Never let it be said that a man left my table hungry!  Never let it be said that a man went thirsty in my house!  Never let it be said that he lacked for comfort or feared for his life under my roof!”
And at the end of the adventure, we hear it again as the king leads the heroes away for another bout of storytelling and feasting to commemorate his triumph over the dire forces of darkness.
KING GALOWYN
Come along, then!  Back to Galwalk Castle!  There'll be rivers of wine!  Oceans of ale!  Delights such as you've never dreamed of . . .   Never let it be said that a man left my table hungry!  Never let it be said that I denied a weary traveler shelter!  Never let it be said that a man went thirsty under my roof!  Never let it be said that a guest left my castle without a full purse, a fresh horse and a new cloak on his back!  There are tales to tell and songs to sing!  Eager young wenches with generous hearts and warm dispositions . . .
Mind you, his victory is much less complete than he imagines, but that's another story . . .
