Jimmy Fund Trailer (1986)
The Jimmy Fund is the major fundraiser for the Dana-Farber Cancer Research Institute.  New England theater-goers are familiar with the “pass the can” program in movie houses, but it's doubtful that any know that for years, Pike Productions made all those trailers.
In 1986, Lee Remick was asked to appear in a Jimmy Fund trailer, but her busy schedule, did not allow her time to fly to Boston to do her bit.  So Jim Pike called Travis and asked if he would go out to Lee Remick's place and film the star for the Jimmy Fund.  It was unpaid and Travis would have to supply his own crew, but it was all in a good cause.  Travis was pleased to produce and direct the bit, and was especially proud of the way the Hollywood team responded to the call.  Peter Anderson and his crew filmed, allowing Lee Remick to contribute her unique glamour and grace to the annual appeal.  (Yes, the boom operator behind Travis is young Mr. Moores!

Morningstone (1987)

“MORNINGSTONE,” with 10 major production numbers, was an expensive audio production, even with the cooperation of David Pinto, who had been involved in “Changeling” some years earlier.  David is a superb player and arranger with his own studio and gave Travis a rate on whatever they could record between them.  So, David played most of the parts, Travis sang the male lead, and they managed to get the songs recorded in just over a month.  Travis' daughter, Lisa, produced the recordings in 1987.  “In the end,” she says, “it still cost a fortune, but I finally got to hear my dad perform his wonderful songs, and that, to me, was worth more than money can buy.”
Bond, a long time fan of "Changeling," loved "MORNINGSTONE," but at $20,000,000, it was still out of reach for Cine-Media, so in 1988, Travis formed his own production company, Otherworld Entertainment Corporation, to pursue production of his fascinating original properties with whatever partners, major distributors or independent investors he might attract.
